Denotation and connotation




The water aid advert communicates meaning to an audience for people to help them. There's a young boy who looks dehydrated and it says dig toilets not graves implying that a lot of people die and it may be caused due to the diarrhoea and poor sanitation. It may communicate to the audience for charity work, and the land is dry and it looks really hot so there may be problems with climate change, the clothes that the child is wearing looks damaged or ripped.

The cigarette advert communicates to an audience of smokers warning them on how cancer starts. The mutation growing on the cigarette warns them on what will start growing on their body. The lighted cigarette represent them lighting a new cigarette
